From Rockford, Ill., Ken Harnquist was a four-year letterwinner in golf (1949-52) and the CCIW medalist in both 1950 and 1952. Harnquist was invited to play in the 1950 NCAA Men’s Golf Championship in Albuquerque, N.M., but missed the cut after the preliminary round.
