From Wauwatosa, Wis., Judson Koenitzer lettered four times in swimming (1975-78) and was named an NCAA Division III All-American in 1978 with a second-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle at the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships at Grinnell College. The previous year, Koenitzer was named honorable mention NCAA Division III All-American with a ninth-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle. He was a two-event CCIW swimming champion in both 1975 and 1977, taking first place in both the 50-yard and the 100-yard freestyle. Koenitzer finished second in both events at the 1976 conference championship, as well as second in the 1978 50-yard freestyle.
