From Beaver Dam, Wis., Heidi (Henschel) Pellett was a four-time letterwinner in tennis (1983-86). As a freshman, she won the 1983 Chicago Metro Conference title at number-four singles, and her sophomore-year team won a Chicago Metro championship, Carthage’s only title in that short-lived league. Pellett was named the team MVP in 1986. She went on to teach and coach track and field at the junior high level in Orem, Utah before moving on to teach elementary school physical education in DeKalb, Ill.
