From Cato, Wis., Glen Braun lettered four times in baseball (1996-99) and was named American Baseball Coaches Association “NCAA Division III Player of the Year” in 1999, as well as an ABCA first-team All-American rightfielder, CCIW “player of the year,” and first-team All-CCIW with a team-leading .458 batting average, a school-record 88 base hits, a school-record 70 runs scored, 13 doubles, a school-record eight triples, a school-record and NCAA-leading 21 home runs, a school-record 80 RBI, a school-record .938 slugging percentage, a school-record 180 total bases and a team-high .505 on-base percentage. Braun was also named first-team all-conference in 1998. He is ranked second on the Red Men’s career batting list (.401), first in slugging percentage (.800), second in triples (13), third in home runs (41) and 10th in runs scored (154). Braun set a Carthage record with a 26-game hitting streak in 1999, and he tied a Carthage game record with three home runs against North Park on April 10, 1999.
