From Milwaukee, Colleen (Mewes) Grueter lettered four times in basketball (1994-97) and was named first-team All-CCIW in both 1996 and 1997, second team all-conference in 1995 and runner-up for the 1996 CCIW’s “Most Outstanding Women’s Basketball Player” award. Grueter finished her Carthage career as the Lady Reds' all-time leader in assists (611, 11th on the NCAA Division III career list through 1999-2000). She is ranked second on the Carthage career list in steals (317), fifth in three-point field goals (96) and 10th in scoring (1,185 points), one of 15 Carthage players to score more than 1,000 points. In 1995, Grueter set a Carthage season record with 171 assists. She also lettered once in soccer and was named All-CCIW in 1995.
