From Rockford, Ill., Chad Black lettered four times in golf (1989-92) and was a four-time All-CCIW honoree, placing second in both the 1989 and 1990 CCIW Men’s Golf Championships and claiming medalist honors in both 1991 and 1992. Black was named a 1990 Golf Coaches Association honorable mention All-American. He qualified for that national championship, as well as the 1991 event, as an unattached individual player. His career average of 76.7 is ranked fourth on the all-time Carthage list.
