From Kenosha, Wis., and Bradford High School, Bob Zapf lettered three times in football (1966-69) and four times in wrestling (1965-69). In wrestling, he won a CCIW title at 160 pounds in both 1966 and 1967. He went on to become the Kenosha County District Attorney.
