From Waukegan, Ill., Becky (Rucks) Belmont lettered four times in track and field (1985-88) and was named an NCAA Division III All-American in 1988 with a second-place finish in the shot put at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championship. She was also a 1988 United States Track Coaches Association All-American with a ninth-place place finish in the indoor shot put. Belmont earned All-CCIW honors four-straight years and was all-conference in three events in both 1987 and 1988 (discus, javelin and the shot put). She was named the MVP of the 1988 conference championship. Belmont also lettered four times in volleyball and was named second-team All-CCIW in 1987. She went on to teach and coach volleyball at Waukegan West High School in Waukegan, Ill., and later at Warren Township High School in Gurnee, Ill.
