The team won the 4x100-meter relay at the 2003 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field National Championship meet with a time of 46.55 seconds. The mark ranks Carthage as the 19th-fastest school in NCAA Division III history in the event and, at the time, was the seventh-fastest 4x100-meter relay of all time. Both Grigsby and Israel are current Carthage Athletics Hall of Fame Members individually
