MEET INFORMATION

KENOSHA, WIS.—The Carthage College cross country squads will participate in the 2017 NCAA Division III Midwest Regional Meet at the Saukie Golf Course in Rock Island, Ill. on Saturday, November 11. Runners will straddle the start line at 11:00 a.m. The 2016 NCAA Division III Midwest Regional saw the Lady Reds take 19^th place out of 38 teams while the Red Men clocked-in 12^th out of 33 squads.
 
Carthage will need a top-two finish at the event to secure an automatic bid into the 2017 NCAA Division III Men's Cross Country Championship on Saturday, November 18 in Eslah, Ill. Sixteen at-large bids will be awarded to teams outside the top-two in their respective region. The top-seven individuals in each region not on a participating team will land a spot in the 2017 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championship field.

Suneed Ahmed, who's paced the Red Men in four events this season, registered a career-best 25:37.2 at the CCIW Championship on October 28. Alanna Varnas notched career-bests in all four participated events this season. She most recently tallied a 15^th-place time of 23:06.8 at the CCIW Championship.
 
WHAT'S NEXT
 
Pending Saturday's results, the cross country teams may qualify for the 2017 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championship in Eslah, Ill. on Saturday, November 18. The North Farm Cross Country Course (Principia College) will host the race.
