KENOSHA, WIS.—The Carthage College men's and women's track & field teams will host the Private College Invitational at the Tarble Athletic and Recreation Center on Saturday, January 14 at 10:30 a.m. The field events will begin at 10:30 a.m., while the running events will follow at 11:00 a.m. on a rolling schedule.

Carthage, Wisconsin Lutheran, Concordia (Wis.), Lakeland, Milwaukee School of Engineering and Roosevelt will participate in the Private College Invitational. This will mark the second meet of the 2017 campaign for Concordia (Wis.) and Lakeland while Carthage, MSOE, Wisconsin Lutheran and Roosevelt will open the season.

A few Carthage throwers will look to improve their marks after getting a head start to the season at the Southern Illinois University Saluki Fast Start on December 10. Jake Menard tallied a mark of 44' 11.5 feet in the shot put, and registered a toss of 48' 8.75" in the weight throw.
Jacob Hurlburt turned in a mark of 49' 1.75" in the weight throw.

For the Lady Reds,
Morgan Young registered a toss of 44' 0.75' in the shot put, and a mark of 53' 1.75" in the weight throw.
Mia Bennett tallied tosses of 56' 0" in the weight throw, and 40' 3.5" in the shot put.

The Carthage track & field teams will compete in their first road meet of the season on Friday, January 20 at the North Central College (Ill.) Cardinal Open. Meet is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m.
