BRIDGEPORT, Pa.—The Collegiate Water Polo Association has named Carthage College senior
Brittany Wallace Player of the Week this afternoon. Wallace turned in a stellar performance in a week that spanned five games.

The Niles, Ill. native closed the Lady Red's 5-0 record on the week with 19 goals, 6 steals and six assists. Her stat line was the anchor behind the Lady Red's five-game swing in St. Paul, Minn. on February 27-28 that included victories over Caltech (21-6, 19-10), Macalester College (12-8) and Monmouth College (16-9, 19-6). Monmouth and Macalester are also CWPA members.
Wallace registered five-goal games in the Lady Red's 12-8 victory over Macalester on February 27, and 19-10 win over Caltech on February 28.Â

In addition to Wallaces's honor,
Carly Strass garnered the CPWA Honor Roll for Defensive Player of the Week. Strass notched 10 goals, 13 steals and seven assists on the week.

The CWPA is a non-profit athletic conference comprised of four-year colleges and universities.

The Lady Red will return to action at the CWPA League Tournament on March 11-13, held at the Koenitzer Aquactic Center on the campus of Carthage College. Penn State-Behrend, Grove City College, Utica College, Washington & Jefferson, Macalester College and Connecticut College are among the teams scheduled to pay the Lady Red a visit in the tournament.Â
