Carthage College's Haleigh McPeek (So., Lake Bluff, Ill./Lake Forest) was named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin “Women's Tennis Player of the Week” on Sept. 4.  McPeek went 2-0 in a 9-0 win over CCIW-opponent Illinois Wesleyan University on Aug. 31.  She defeated Helen Alex, 6-0, 6-1, at No. 2 singles and then teamed with Bari Reynolds at No. 1 doubles to beat Andrea Kerwin and Alex by an 8-6 margin.  McPeek also finished second in the No. 2 singles flight at the Sept. 1 Wisconsin-Whitewater “Warhawk Invitational,” beating Augustana College (Ill.), 6-2, 6-1, and Wisconsin-Eau Claire, 6-4, 6-3, before losing to Wisconsin-Whitewater, 4-6, 1-6, in the final.
