The Carthage College softball team won a 2012 CCIW co-championship with Illinois Wesleyan University, both with 11-3 league marks.  For the Lady Reds, the title is their third (1998, 2010 and 2012).  Carthage secured this year's co-championship when Illinois Wesleyan lost the first game of an April 29 doubleheader to Elmhurst College.
