Carthage College first baseman Alyssa Schrader (Sr.., Plainfield, Ill./South) was named a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin "Softball Players of the Week" on April 17.  Schrader batted .500 last week (6-for-12) with three home runs, two doubles, six runs and seven RBI as the Lady Reds went 3-1 against CCIW competition.  She finished a combined three-for-seven with three runs, three RBI and two doubles in an 8-7, 8-3 doubleheader sweep of Wheaton College (Ill.) on April 11.  She then went a combined three-for-five with three home runs, four RBI and three runs in a double-header split with Millikin on April 14.
