The Carthage College men's golf team (106-18) won the Saturday-Sunday, April 14-15 Ripon College Invitational at the Lawsonia Golf Course in Green Lake, Wis. 

Carthage won the 17-team event with a 312-308-620 team score, seven strokes ahead of second-place Viterbo University at 318-309-627.  Edgewood College was third at 322-311-633, followed by St. Norbert College fourth at 326-311-637, Carroll University fifth at 325-320-645, the Carthage "B" team sixth at 318-330-648, Marian University (Wis.) seventh at 334-332-666, the Milwaukee School of Engineering eighth at 343-330-673, the St. Norbert "B" team ninth at 339-349-688, Madison College 10th at 350-342-692, Wisconsin Lutheran College 11th at 348-345-693, Finlandia University 12th at 371-347-718, Concordia University (Wis.) 13th at 373-349-722, Ripon 14th at 368-361-729, Lawrence University 15th at 400-363-763, Beloit College 16th at 403-367-770 and Lake Forest College with an incomplete team score.
 
Carroll's Eric Busalacchi took medalist honors with a three-over-par 74-73-147.  Carthage's Josh Kopka (So., Algonquin, Ill./Jacobs) was second at 75-74-149.  Riley Bauman (So., Crystal Lake, Ill./Central) tied for eighth place at 78-77-155.  Donnie Langland (Jr., Algonquin, Ill./Jacobs) at 78-81-159 and Ben Schroeder (Jr., Mundelein, Ill.) 81-78-159 tied for 12th place, and Brad Hyland (So., Crystal Lake, Ill./Prairie Ridge) tied for 21st with an 83-79-162. 

For the Carthage "B" team, Nate Moore (Jr., Moline, Ill.) finished 11th at 78-80-158, and Patrick Clavio (Jr., Orland Park, Ill./Sandburg) tied for 12th place with a 76-83-159.  Tyler Prickette (So., Appleton, Wis./Xavier) shot a 78-82-160, Scott Shiple (Sr., Frankfort, Ill./Lincoln-Way East) an 86-85-171 and Anthony Burdi (So., Carol Stream, Ill./Bartlett) an 88-87-175. 

Carthage travels to North Prairie, Wis., on Sunday, April 22 to play in the Carroll University Spring Invitational at the Broadlands Golf Club, beginning at 9 a.m.
