The Carthage College men's swimming team tied for 38th place at the Wednesday-Saturday, March 21-24 NCAA Division III Swimming Championship at the Indiana University Natatorium on the campus of Indiana-Purdue at Indianapolis.  Carthage's Kyle Drake (Sr., Aurora, Ill./Waubonsie Valley), the Red Men's lone qualifier, competed in the 400 individual medley (finished 16th at 4:01.61), the 100 backstroke (did not reach the finals) and the 200 backstroke (finished ninth with a time of 1:47.92).  Drake earned  College Swimming Coaches Association of America honorable mention All-America honors with his finish in the 200 backstroke.
