Lauren Chatham Sets a Pair of Carthage Scoring Records

The Carthage College women's lacrosse team (3-3, 0-0 Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference) closed out a two-game spring trip to Colorado on Wednesday, March 21 with a 15-13 loss to Mount Holyoke College (4-1) at Colorado College's Stewart Field in Colorado Springs, Colo.  Carthage fell behind, 8-2, in the first period but pulled even at 10-10 early in the second half.  The Lady Reds enjoyed one lead, 11-10, at 21:01, but the Lyons scored five of the game's final seven points to take a 15-13 decision. 

Molly MacDonald led Mount Holyoke with five goals, while Kirsten Kilburn had three goals and an assist.  The Lady Reds' Lauren Chatham (Jr., Hartland, Wis./Arrowhead) had six goals and an assist.  She set a Carthage game record with seven points and tied another mark with the six goals.  Sydney Whitaker (So., Bainbridge, Wash.) added two goals and an assist.  On Saturday, March 24, Carthage plays host to conference-opponent Fontbonne University (0-3, 0-1 MWLC) in a 3 p.m. game at Art Keller Field in Kenosha, Wis.
