Carthage College outside hitter Randy Hansen (Sr., Oak Lawn, Ill.) garnered both national and conference “player of the week” awards on March 20 for the second time this season.  Hansen earned both American Volleyball Coaches Association NCAA Division III and Continental Volleyball Conference “Player of the Week” awards after leading the Red Men to a 5-0 mark at the March 16-18 Carthage/Milwaukee School of Engineering Tournament.  He had “double-doubles” against both No. 8 Nazareth College (15 kills and 11 digs) and No. 4 Juniata College (20 kills and 18 digs).  For the week, Hansen averaged 4.75 kills, 5.62 points and 3.06 digs per set while hitting .466.  He received the same two weekly awards on Feb. 1.
