Carthage College's Greg Raimondi (Sr., Harwood Heights, Ill./Norridge-Ridgewood) was named a CCIW “Men's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week” on Feb. 7.  Raimondi threw a lifetime best 17.81 meters in the 35-pound weight throw at the Feb. 3-4 Illinois Wesleyan University “Bob Keck Invitational.”  Before the finals started, he was hit in the head by a weight requiring 12 stitches but returned in time to throw a lifetime best of 15.65 meters in the shot put.  His marks places him 16th and 21st nationally.  He finished third in the finals of both events.
