Carthage College men's tennis player Jeff Lotz Jr. (Jr., Racine, Wis., 6-1) was ranked 23rd in the pre-season Intercollegiate Tennis Association's national singles listings and fifth in the ITA Central Region poll. Lotz advanced to the singles semifinals at the October 2011 ITA Midwest Regional Championship at Gustavus Adolphus College before losing to Fabricio Moncada from St. John's University (Minn.), Moncada winning, 6-4, 2-6, 7-6(4).
