The Carthage College women's tennis team (1-1, 0-0 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin) traveled to Whitewater, Wis., on Saturday, Sept. 3 to play in the Wisconsin-Whitewater Invitational. The nine-team event got underway at the Wangerin Tennis Courts before rain forced a move to the Janesville Athletic Club in Janesville, Wis. With limited court time at the indoor facility, the tournament was eventually cancelled. Carthage opens its CCIW-schedule on Friday, Sept. 9 by entertaining Augustana College (Ill., 2-1, 1-1 CCIW) in a 4 p.m. tilt at the Smeds Tennis Center in Kenosha, Wis.
