Carthage College strong safety Alex Vitkauskas (Jr., Tinley Park, Ill./St.Rita) was named College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin "Football Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 12.  Vitkauskas recorded two interceptions in the Red Men's 38-0 shutout of Lakeland College. He returned the first interception 38 yards for first-period touchdown that put Carthage up, 14-0.
