2011 All-CCIW Softball Team

Four Carthage College softball players were named to the 2011 All-CCIW team. Pitcher Krystina Leazer (So., Des Plaines, Ill./Elk Grove, 19-9, 2.31 earned run average, 7.30 strikeouts per nine innings, 1.10 walks per nine innings) and catcher Alyse Mikolas (Fr., Kenosha, Wis./Bradford, .321, 8 doubles, 4 home runs, 16 RBI) were named first-team All-CCIW. Leazer was also named CCIW “Pitcher of the Year.”

First baseman Alyssa Schrader (Jr., Plainfield, Ill./South, .322, 7 doubles, 8 home runs, 26 RBI) and shortstop Kari Peterson (Sr., Blooming Prairie, Minn., .324, 9 doubles) earned second-team all-conference honors. Outfielder Lesley Guenard from Wheaton College (Ill.) was named CCIW “Player of the Year.”
