Carthage College women's track and field thrower Mindy Harrington (Sr., Spring Grove, Ill./Richmond-Burton) is an automatic qualifier for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championship in both the discus and the shot put.

The Lady Reds have several other provisional qualifiers in including Ashura Jenkins (Sr., Aurora, Ill./Christian) in both the 100-meter dash and the 200-meter dash, Molly Chlum (Jr., Tinley Park, Ill./Orland Hills-Andrew) in the 100-meter dash, Katie Gordon (Jr., Ingleside, Ill./Fox Lake-Grant Community) in the discus, Sarah Thompson (Jr., Byron, Ill.) in the heptathlon, Christine Nelson (Jr., Rock City, Ill./Dakota) in the heptathlon and the 400-meter relay team of Jenkins, Chlum, Kelly McHale (Sr., Naperville, Ill./North) and Carnesha Johnson (Fr., Beach Park, Ill./Zion-Benton Township).

For the men's team, Josh Brennan (Sr., Geneva, Ill.) is an automatic qualifier in the hammer throw. The Red Men have several other provisional qualifiers, including Brad Fortney (Sr., Antioch, Ill./Antioch Community) in both the discus and the shot put, Greg Raimondi (Jr., Harwood Heights, Ill./Norwood-Ridgewood) in both the hammer throw and the shot put and Jarrayl Johnson (Sr., Flossmoor, Ill./South Holland-Thornwood) in the shot put.

This year's championship will be conducted on May 26-28 at Ohio Wesleyan University's Selby Field and George Gauthier Track in Delaware, Ohio.
