The Carthage College men's lacrosse team (10-1, 3-0 Midwest Men's Lacrosse Conference) defeated conference-opponent Trine University (6-3, 0-3), 10-6, on Saturday, April 9 at Zollner Stadium in Angola, Ind.

Carthage led, 5-1, at halftime and 7-3 after the third period. Trine out-shot the Red Men, 29-24, and the Thunder also enjoyed a 17-10 edge in ground balls. Cory Childs (Sr., Savage, Minn./Prior Lake) led Carthage with five goals, while Danny Morse (Fr., O'Fallon, Ill./O'Fallon Township) had two goals and an assist. Hunter Douglas (So., Colorado Springs, Colo./Cheyenne Mountain) collected three ground balls. Ben Montalvo topped the Thunder with two goals.

Carthage plays host to conference-opponent Concordia University (Wis., 6-2) on Wednesday, April 13 in an 8 p.m. game at Art Keller Field in Kenosha, Wis.
