Carthage's Krystina Leazer Named CCIW "Pitcher of the Week" on April 5

Carthage College's Krystina Leazer (So., Des Plaines, Ill./Elk Grove) was named CCIW “Softball Pitcher of the Week” on April 5. Leazer, went 4-1 in five games last week with a 1.13 earned run average and 42 strikeouts in 31.0 innings pitched to go along with a .221 opponent-batting average. Leazer won starts over Hope on March 29, Lake Forest on March 30 and North Park on April 2. She was also the winning pitcher in relief in the second North Park game on April 2.
