The Carthage College women's golf team (55-55) completed its spring season by finishing fourth at the Friday, April 29 Robert Morris-Lake County “Spring Classic” at the Bonnie Brook Golf Course in Waukegan, Ill. The University of St. Francis (Ill.) won the four-team event with a 338 team score, 21 strokes ahead of second-place Robert Morris (Ill.) at 359. Olivet Nazarene University was third at 360 and Carthage fourth with a 379 mark.

Brooke Melvin from Robert Morris (Ill.) took medalist honors with an 82. Katie Ramirez (Sr., Darien, Ill./Hinsdale-South, team-leading 86.7 season average) finished 10th with an 87. Taylor McAdams (So., Sycamore, Ill., 92.5) tied for 16th place at 90, and Julie Klawitter (So., Mount Prospect, Ill./Arlington Heights-Hersey, 98.4) tied for 23rd with a 96. Amy Binstein (Sr., Glenview, Ill./Glenbrook South, 89.9) shot a 97, Heidi Hoffman (Sr., Appleton, Wis./North, 91.4) a 99, Jenna Apple (Fr., Bloomington, Ill., 97.7) a 101, Brooke Mix (Jr., Westfield, Ind., 100.5) a 102, and Natalie Haines (Fr., Geneva, Ill./Aurora-Rosary, 98.0) shot a 113.
