The Carthage College men's golf team (112-18) finished second at the Monday, April 25 Wisconsin-Parkside “American Family Classic” at the Meadowbrook Country Club in Racine, Wis. The host-Rangers won the five-team event with a 295 team score, three strokes ahead of second-place Carthage at 298. The Milwaukee School of Engineering was third at 302, followed by Madison College fourth at 328 and Concordia University (Wis.) fifth with a 363 mark.
Wisconsin-Parkside's Jake Knuese took medalist honors with a 69. Carthage's
Riley Bauman (Fr., Crystal Lake, Ill./Central, 77.4 season average) and
Brad Hyland (Fr., Crystal Lake, Ill./Prairie Ridge, 76.4) tied for third place at 73 each.
Andy Wojciechowicz (Sr., Racine, Wis./Kenosha-Bradford, 78.2) tied for eighth place with a 74.
Bobby O'Neill (Sr., Mokena, Ill./Frankfort—Lincoln-Way East, 78.6) tied for 12th place with a 75, and
Brendon Jones (Jr., St. Charles, Ill./West Chicago, 76.0) tied for 14th with a 77.
Tyler Prickette (Fr., Appleton, Wis./Xavier, 77.1) shot a 78,
Scott Shiple (Jr., Frankfort, Ill./Lincoln-Way East, 78.9) a 78,
Kenny Rudy (Jr., Rockton, Ill./Hononegah, 77.5) a 79,
Dan Parks Jr., Mount Prospect, Ill./Arlington Heights-Hersey, 79.2) an 81,
