The Carthage College women's golf team (55-52) finished fourth at the Friday, April 22 Wisconsin-Whitewater “Spring Fling” at the Riverside Golf Course in Janesville, Wis. Carroll University (Wis.) won the four-team event with a 344 team score, seven strokes ahead of second-place Wisconsin-Whitewater at 351. Wisconsin-Stevens Point was third at 354 and Carthage fourth with a 381 mark.

Katie Ramirez (Jr., Darien, Ill./Hinsdale-South) tied for fourth place with an 87.
Amy Binstein (Sr., Glenview, Ill./Glenbrook South) was 18th at 95,
Heidi Hoffman (Sr., Appleton, Wis./North) 23rd at 98,
Julie Klawitter (Fr., Mount Prospect, Ill./Arlington Heights-Hersey) tied for 25th at 101, and
Natalie Haines (Fr., Geneva, Ill./Aurora-Rosary) tied for 28th place with a 102.
Jenna Apple (Fr., Bloomington, Ill.), playing as an individual, also shot a 102.
The Lady Reds conclude the spring portion of their season on Friday, April 29 by playing in the Robert Morris-Lake County “Spring Classic” at the Bonnie Brook Golf Course in Waukegan, Ill., beginning at 10 a.m.
