The Carthage College women's lacrosse team (6-7, 5-1 Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference) defeated conference-opponent the College of Mount St. Joseph (1-13, 0-6 MWLC), 19-5, on Saturday, April 16 at Schueler Field in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Carthage had a commanding, 15-3 lead at halftime, and the Lady Reds out-shot the Lions, 46-12. Carthage's Natalie Ceis (So., Seattle, Wash./Seattle Prep) and Hannah Sopeth (Jr., Lakeville, Minn./North) scored four goals with two assists each, while Sydney Whitaker (Fr., Bainbridge, Wash.) had four goals. Kate Flanagan (Sr., Wheeling, Ill.) collected seven ground balls. Amanda Holmes topped Mount St. Joseph with three goals.

The Lady Reds journey home on Sunday, April 17 via Angola, Ind., to take on conference-foe Trine University in a 1 p.m., EDT match at Shive Field.
