Steve Djurickovic Named Capital One First-Team Academic All-America®

Carthage College men's basketball guard Steve Djurickovic (Sr., Pleasant Prairie, Wis./Kenosha-Bradford) was named Capital One first-team Academic All-America® on Feb. 22, as voted on by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Djurickovic, an exercise and sport science major with a 3.51 cumulative grade-point average, was named a 2010 ESPN the Magazine third-team Academic All-America®. Capital One now sponsors the team. 

The other five College Division representatives on the first team were Cheyney College's Sharif Bray, Austin Meier from the Milwaukee School of Engineering, Muhlenberg College's Spencer Liddic, Ripon College's Aris Wurtz and the University of Scranton's Zach Ashworth. Meier was named Capital One “Academic All-American® of the Year.”
