2011 All-CCIW Men's Basketball Team

Carthage College men's basketball guard Steve Djurickovic (Sr., Pleasant Prairie, Wis./Kenosha-Bradford) was named the winner of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin's “Fred Young Most Outstanding Player Award” in 2011 for the second-straight year. 

Djurickovic was also named first-team All-CCIW for the fourth-straight year.  He is one of only six players to be named first-team All-CCIW four-straight years, three of whom are from Carthage The other five are Carthage's Jason Wiertel (1999-2002) and Rob Garnes (2000-03), Wheaton College's Bud Schaeffer (1947-50), North Central College's Bill Warden (1952-55) and Millikin University's Jesse Price (1966-69). 

Djurickovic is the CCIW leader in scoring (21.8 points per game thru Feb. 24), assists (6.60 per game) and minutes played (37.40 per game), while ranked second in free-throw percentage (.861), 13th in field-goal percentage (.448) and tied for 16th place in rebounding (3.9 per game). The Red Men's Malcom Kelly (So., Kenosha, Wis./Reuther) was named second-team All-CCIW. Kelly is 10th in scoring (13.2 points per game), ninth in three-point field-goal percentage (.356), ninth in free-throw percentage (.732) and 15th in rebounding (4.1 per game). 

Kyle Nelson (Sr., Deerfield, Ill.) from Augustana College (Ill.), Illinois Wesleyan University's Doug Sexauer (Sr., Home Glen, Ill./Lockport Township), North Central College's Landon Gamble (Fr., Joliet, Ill./Lockport Township) and Tim McCrary (Jr., Wilmette, Ill./Winnetka-New Trier) from Wheaton College (Ill.) joined Djurickovic on the first-team. Grey Giovanine from Augustana (Ill.) and North Central's Todd Raridon were named CCIW “Co-Coaches of the Year.”
