Carthage College men's football linebacker Josh Brennan (Sr., Geneva, Ill.) and women's tennis player Hollis McPeek (Jr., Lake Bluff, Ill./Lake Forest) have been named fall 2010 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin/Jack Swartz all-academic.
Brennan was named second-team All-CCIW with a team-leading 69 tackles (56 solo, 13 assisted), including 10.5 tackles-for-loss and a pair of sacks. He is an exercise and sport science major with a 3.56 cumulative grade-point average. Brennan was also named CCIW/Jack Swartz all-academic for the winter 2010 season. He has been named to the Carthage dean's list three times and is a five-semester member of the Carthage athletic director's honor roll.
McPeek earned first-team All-CCIW honors and finished second at number-one singles at the CCIW Women's Tennis Championship. She also teamed with Kristina Naidicz to finish second in number-one doubles. McPeek, who also earned CCIW/Jack Swartz all-academic honors for the fall 2009 semester, is a double major in business administration and marketing with a 3.67 GPA. She has been named to the Carthage dean's list three times and is a three-time member of the Carthage athletic director's honor roll.
