The Carthage College men's cross country team (38-50) finished 34th at the Saturday, Oct. 15 Wisconsin-Oshkosh “Brooks Invitational” at the Lake Breeze Golf Course in Winneconne, Wis. North Central College won the 47-team event with 49 points, followed by Washington University (Mo.) second at 137, Wheaton College (Ill.) third at 154, Wisconsin-Platteville fourth at 251 and Augustana College (Ill.) fifth with 278 points.
Wisconsin-Stout's Tim Nelson won the 8K race with a time of 24:45.85. Carthage's
Jake Mahaffey (Jr., Mahomet, Ill. /Mahomet-Seymour) finished 118th with a time of 26:38.85, and
J.D. Fuller (Fr., Woodstock, Ill) was 241st at 27:35.98
