The Carthage College women's golf team (7-6) finished fifth at the Saturday-Sunday, Sept. 4-5 Illinois College Invitational at the Links Course at Nichols Park in Jacksonville, Ill. William Woods College won the 11-team event with a 319-316-635 team score, seven strokes ahead of second-place Washington University (Mo.) at 322-320-642. Illinois Wesleyan University was third at 326-339-665, followed by Illinois-Springfield fourth at 339-342-681, Carthage fifth at 346-339-685, Millikin University sixth at 352-355-707, Grinnell College seventh at 356-354-710, St. Ambrose University eighth at 365-366-731, Illinois College ninth at 386-382-768, Lincoln Community College 10th at 422-401-823 and Benedictine University (Ill.) 11th with a 407-426-833 mark.
Washington's Hannah Buck took medalist honors with a 75-75-150.
Katie Ramirez (Sr., Darien, Ill./Hinsdale-South) tied for 13th place with an 81-86-167.
Amy Binstein (Glenview, Ill./Glenbrook South) tied for 24th with a 90-82-172,
Aubrie Morano (Jr., North Prairie, Wis./Wales-Kettle Moraine) tied for 28th at 88-85-173,
Tabby Bell (So., Bloomington, Ill./Central Catholic) tied for 34th at 91-86-177, and
Heidi Hoffman (Sr., Appleton, Wis./North) tied for 40th at 87-95-182.
Jenna Apple (So., Bloomington, Ill.) tied for 50th place at 95-99-194,
Heidi Chronowski (So., Monticello, Iowa) tied for 56th, and
