Carthage Men's Swimming Coach Greg Earhart Steps Aside for 2010-11

Andrew Belton Named Interim Head Coach

Carthage College director of athletics Robert Bonn has named Andrew Belton interim head men's swimming coach for 2010-11. Current head coach Greg Earhart will take a leave of absence beginning Sept. 1, 2010 and will resume his duties on April 1, 2011. Earhart  (67-23 dual-meet record, 8 years) was named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin's "Men's Swimming Coach of the Year" in 2002, 2006 and 2010 and CCIW “Co-Men's Swimming Coach of the Year” in 2004. The Red Men won CCIW titles in 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2010. 

A native of San Antonio, Texas, Belton attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where he graduated in 2009 with a bachelor's in civil engineering. He served as a volunteer assistant coach at Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2009-10, and he is also an assistant at the North Shore Swim Club. Belton was a three-year member of the Wisconsin-Milwaukee swimming team from 2007 to 2009 after transferring from Ohio University.
