Carthage College men's football wide receiver Jeff Koeneman (Sr., Barrington, Ill./Palatine-Fremd) and women's tennis player Hollis McPeek (So., Lake Bluff, Ill./Lake Forest) have been named fall 2009 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin/Jack Swartz all-academic.
Koeneman was named “D3football.com” first-team All-North Region. He was also named first-team All-CCIW for the second-straight year with 1,031 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns. He collected 100 or more receiving yards in six-of-10 games and set a season record with 94 passing receptions, breaking his own 2008 mark of 77. Koeneman wound up his career as Carthage's all-time leader in both passing receptions (258) and receiving yards (3,008). He is a business administration major with a 3.55 cumulative grade-point average through the fall semester.
McPeek was named first-team All-CCIW and MVP of the CCIW Women's Tennis Championship with a 12-5 record and a CCIW title at number-three singles. She also teamed with Gina Klein to win the league's number-one doubles title. McPeek is a double major in business administration and marketing with a 3.7 GPA.
