The Carthage College men's cross country team (55-69) finished 20th at the Saturday, Nov. 13 NCAA Division III Midwest Regional Championship at the Saukie Golf Course in Rock Island, Ill. North Central College won the 39-team event with 37 points, followed by Wisconsin-Platteville second at 86, Wisconsin-Stevens Point third at 114, Washington University (Mo.) fourth at 122 and Wisconsin-Oshkosh fifth with 173 points. 

North Central's Michael Spain won the 8K race with a time of 24:06.40. Carthage's Jake Mahaffey (So., Mahomet, Ill./Mahomet-Seymour) finished 79th at 25:39.90. Justin Sebens (Sr., Seymour, Ill./Mahomet-Seymour) was 114th at 26:16.20, Grant Seiler (So., Greenfield, Ill./Milwaukee-Whitnall) 117th at 26:21.70, Josh Solorio Sr., West Allis, Wis./Milwaukee-West Allis Central) 130th at 26:33.60, and Will Novorolsky (Fr., Elburn, Ill./St. Charles-North) was 148th at 26:53.10. Also finishing for the Red Men were Dan August (Fr., Mokena, Ill./Frankfort—Lincoln-Way East) at 27:03.80 and Josh Keck (So., Minooka, Ill.) at 28:03.10.
