Carthage's Diana Jacklin Named CCIW "Women's Basketball Player of the Week"

Carthage College's Diana Jacklin (So., Berwyn, Ill./Morton West.) was named CCIW “Women's Basketball Player of the Week” on Jan. 4 for the second time this season. Jacklin, who also earned “player of the week” honors on Dec. 7, was named the MVP of the Dec. 28-29 Oglethorpe University Holiday Classic. Jacklin was the lone Carthage player in double figures with a game-high 14 points and 10 rebounds in the Lady Reds' 51-47 upset of Hope College on Dec. 28. Hope came into the game ranked first in the Dec. 15 Women's Basketball Coaches Association/USA Today/ESPN poll, and third in the Dec. 15 “D3Hoops.com poll.” She also scored a game-high 23 points and pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds in an 88-66 win over Oglethorpe on Dec. 29.
