The Carthage College men’s soccer team (2-4-4, 1-1 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin) defeated CCIW-opponent North Park University (6-3, 0-1 CCIW), 2-1, on Saturday, Sept. 26 at the Holmgren Athletic Complex in Chicago. The Vikings were ranked sixth in the Sept. 22 National Soccer Coaches Association of America Central Region poll. Following a scoreless first half, Carthage’s Aleks Urosevic (So., Skokie, Ill./Wilmette-Loyola Academy) broke the tie with a an unassisted goal at 61:13. The Vikings’ Elliot Ford knotted things up a 1-1 with an unassisted score at 72:48, but the Red Men’s Jordan Innis (Fr., Lake in the Hills, Ill./Crystal Lake-South) scored the game-winning goal, also unassisted, at 80:13.
