The Carthage College women's soccer team (3-1, 0-0 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin), ranked 10th in the Sept. 8 National Soccer Coaches Association Central Region poll, shut out Concordia University (Wis., 2-3), 3-0, on Thursday, Sept. 10 at Art Keller Field in Kenosha, Wis. Carthage took a 1-0- halftime behind the first of two goals by freshman Rachel Jason (Deerfield, Ill.) at 9:00. Jen Carlson scored at 84:51, assisted by Shannon Chesna. Jason added her second goal, assisted by Maria Korosis, at 88:50. Jason has four goals this season in four games. On Saturday-Sunday, Sept. 12-13, the Lady Reds travel to Northfield, Minn., for a pair of games. On Saturday, Sept. 12, Carthage plays St. Olaf College (2-1) in a 1 p.m. contest at Rolf Melby Field. On Sunday, Sept. 13, the Red Men take on Carleton College (0-3-1), also at 1 p.m., at Bell Field.
