In a pre-season poll, the seven Midwest Lacrosse Conference coaches picked Adrian College to win the first-ever MLC championship in 2010. Trine University was picked second, followed by Fontbonne University third, the College of Mount St. Joseph fourth, Carthage College fifth, Albion College sixth and the Milwaukee School of Engineering seventh.

Carthage attackman Keegan Bowman (So., New Westminster, British Columbia/New Westminster Secondary) and goalkeeper Daniel Hurst (So., Columbia, Mo./Hickman) were named to the pre-season Midwest Lacrosse Conference all-league team. Trine University attackman Cory Childs was named pre-season conference “player of the year.”
