The Carthage College men's cross country team (25-24) finished sixth at the Friday, Oct. 2 Carthage Invitational at the Wisconsin-Parkside course in Somers, Wis.  Wheaton College (Ill.) won the eight-team event with 24 points, followed by North Central College second at 42, St. Norbert College third at 111, Wisconsin-Oshkosh fourth at 133, Edgewood College fifth at 136, Carthage sixth at 160, Wisconsin-Whitewater seventh at 161 and Harper College eighth with 162 points.

 

North Central College's Jacob Austin won the 8K race with a time of 26:13.30.  Carthage's Tom Baran (So., Chicago, Ill./Niles-Notre Dame) was 14th at 27:21.00, B.J.
