Carthage Women's Soccer Falls at Millikin, 2-1, on Oct. 13

The Carthage College women's soccer team (5-8, 0-4 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin) lost to CCIW-opponent Millikin University (10-4-1, 2-1 CCIW), 2-1, on Wednesday, Oct. 14 at the Millikin Soccer Complex in Decatur, Ill. The Lady Reds had a 1-0 halftime lead, thanks to a goal by Rachel Jason (Fr., Deerfield, Ill.) at 34 :52. The Big Blue tied the contest with a goal by Allison Horne, assisted by Megan Schroeder, at 46:35. Schroeder then scored the game-winning goal, assisted by Horne, at 87:31. Carthage had a potential game-tying shot by Debbie Kozlowski (Jr., Forest Park, Ill./Westchester-St. Joseph's) blocked with two seconds on the clock. On Saturday, Oct. 17, the Lady Reds play host to conference-opponent North Central College (8-5, 1-3 CCIW) in a 1 p.m. contest at Art Keller Field in Kenosha, Wis.
